Puppy stays with Emily from the breeder
For families who want to give their puppy the strongest possible start from day one. Emily will work with your puppy on establishing a healthy daily routine, crate training, housebreaking, leash introduction, safe socialization, basic commands, confidence, and independence.
*Planning to bring home a puppy? Contact Emily as soon as you know your puppy is coming home to discuss availability. Emily has raised and trained 20+ puppies for clients and service dog organizations.
À La Carte Services
Private Training
60–70 minute one-on-one session with Emily in your home.
Private Training provides individualized attention for a variety of training needs, including puppy training, obedience, behavior modification, and reactivity.
Travel fee: An additional $20 mileage fee applies for locations more than 20 miles from Emily's location in Powhatan.

Board & Train
Your dog stays in Emily's home for an immersive training experience tailored to their individual needs.
Board & Train is ideal for puppies who need a strong foundation or dogs who need more intensive training to address obedience or behavioral concerns.
May include crate training, housebreaking, leash skills, impulse control, recall, basic obedience, safe socialization, and daily outings.
Transportation is available for out of town clients.

Training Outings
30–40 minute session at a location of your choice.
Training outings give your dog the opportunity to practice obedience and appropriate behavior in real-world environments with distractions.
Outings can be used to work on reactivity, obedience around distractions, and dog and human neutrality in public.

Boarding
Give your dog a fun, safe place to stay while you're away. Boarding takes place in a home environment rather than a traditional kennel.
*Holiday boarding: Additional $10/night.
*Available exclusively to past and current Dog Lovers clients.
Important: Boarding availability is limited and spots fill quickly, so we recommend having a backup plan. Adult dogs must be comfortable being crated overnight.
